Paul and Ellen have worked on over 100 historic landscapes throughout their careers both in the UK and overseas. Owners have ranged from local authorities managing historic public parks, agencies with historic portfolios, to private estates dedicated to managing special landscapes for future generations. We also undertaken historic landscape assessments for private clients wishing to understand the value of their properties.

Since the launch of Heritage Lottery funded parks programmes in 1996, Ellen and Paul have become leading experts on the restoration of historic parks. The practice monitors and mentors to HLF projects throughout the country.
The practice also works with private estates and trusts, most recently producing parkland plans to support Stewardship funding for the Waddesdon Estate (as part of Heritage Environment Associates) and design masterplanning the garden at Sandycombe Lodge for the Turner's House Trust.
Bramhill Design has also recently worked for the National Trust and English Heritage, undertaking masterplanning at Hughenden Manor for the Trust, and reviewing landscape management at Marble Hill for English Heritage.
